We just had the dam between a 12 acre pond and a 10 acre feeder pond completely rebuilt. What are your thoughts on using lime rock to cover the dam to prevent erosion?
If you can afford it, i think it would be great on the slope into the water side. Hay mulch and grass seed on the rest.
I'm agree with Brian, but I would like some grass on the waterside down to about 2 feet of the shoreline, if the slope is gentle enough to be mowed. Walking on rocks is too much risk the older I get.

Welcome to the forums, btw!
i fish a pond as described.....rock within the 1st 1-2', grass over the rest. It is easy to get around. Rock is sized less than 6" from a local source
You might be surprised what a 4" medium recycled concrete is worth.
