We have a FHM pond and it is next to a pig pen. Actuall hogs!
What sort of bad things can those fish get. I dont move those minnows. the water turns green and looks like well... a pig lives there. The pond is small. It is up hill from the pen but the bigs visit constantly.
The minnows do excellant in this pond though, I have thrown a trap in justout of curiosity and it is bursting with small and medium sized minnows.

What would be a good way to make sure the bait is clean and safe to take some where else?

Any thing I could do to make the pond better while not keeping the pigs away??

I think Fatheads could live in and maybe thrive in a nuclear waste dump.

I have mixed emotions about using them for bait. I just don't know.

You need to toss a few Tilapia in that pond and see how they do.

Walmart has tilapia in the frozen meat section. Although they don't do very well eating algae.
