Sunil - since you are usually first and practically live next door to the publisher, Did you get your new PB magazine on Saturday - Nov 4?
Bill, my mail has not arrived yet for today. I think the mailman is in the neighborhood though.
Yes, Bill. The magazine arrived today.
My issue of PBoss arrived Monday Nov 6.
Sorry, I didn't see this post. Mine arrived today too.
Gaht mine today, to. Withouth ginivg away thy plot, their are mulple pictures of Bruce in his "Fread Whard" era.
Bruce- Is that a toupee? Theo has been hitting the DMD and Jack again.
Hee hee.
Don't bother Theo. He'll be OK if you don't agitate him.
Hey! Let's shake, agitate and roll Theo. Somebody catch Theo, but first take the fish out of his pockets
 . Cody is getting weird; cut him off, no more DMD.
Yeah, I remember my first can of Dew.
Cody will be OK in 2-3 days, after he has managed to get some sleep.
Out Of The Woods and recovering - Z Z Z Z Z Z Z ZZZZZZZ
Hey Theo, it's not just you. Cody has shown a sense of humor several times lately.
Curioser and curioser.
It must be getting a bit icy in the northland. Have the pirates started visiting the ponds yet?
Theo what kind of fish are in your pockets?
That, Sir, is a secret that I am not prepared to share until the end of the year or so.
I ahte all you early Pondbosser. Making all us jealous, WAIT I hope It isnt time to renew already, I need to get that done. As well as my registration to the PB convention. I am a bit behind, was in New Orleans for a few days with old High school college buddies. WHOA still trying to recover. Havent been to the pond IN over I month. I feel SO guilty for neglecting my baby.
Wife just called me at work to say the latest issue of Pond Boss arrived!
Pondboss finally arrived in the backwoods of West Virginia today.
We've gone from fall, to winter, back to a nice autumn day. Too nice not to wet a line. This afternoon the pond let me play with two 9-inch, and one 10-inch bluegill. All were nice and thick, and hopefully ready to spawn in the spring.
I can't wait to read about raising really Giant Bluegill.
RobA, now that's a well trained wife.
Seems like your bluegill are well on their way to "giant" status.
mine arrived Nov 2nd - the floating islands are great but out of the picture expensive - have to build my own some how- anyone done so- there are some threads here but not much- I am re desigining my now under construction 2 acre pond to include a great stationary island - just becauxse of the beauty afforded by the islands pictured in the new issue.
Fattys arrived today in the mail. woo-hoo

That's the truth. Huskers didn't deserve to win, but they didn't deserve to lose to the Longhorns either, so it's a wash. Talkin' football is almost as dangerous as talking religion or politics.
I'd better shut it down right now b'fer I gets myself in trouble.
You are right on the money, Bruce. The horns have 21 starters back. What could be the difference?
FMcB...I didnt know that coach Fran played for the Ags. :p The big in state matchup looks evener and evener, dont it?
Myself, I've been a Scarlet Knight fan for years.
The Huskers only had to play against Mr. Young when he was a freshman, and he still made us look silly. I wasn't very sad to see him go.
My PB Volume XV, No.3 arrived today. Monday, November 13, 2006.
Knowing that I will always be near the last, I made some adjustments.
Pirates Beware!
Got mine today - 9 days after Sunil. The mailman finished reading it a day early -- I am usually 10 days behind. That's progress.
Dwight, are we looking for Pirate-Speak Elmo somewhere in your picture, or what??
I see you got chains. What's up -- did the pirates steal your fur-head wheel chock?
Dwight, that's funny, but I don't even know what I'm laughing at. The fur-head wheel chock is hidden somewhere isn't he?
Look at that nice algae bloom he's got going on underneath the camper.
I just recieved my new POND BOSS mag last night. I must be dreaming, I'm floating on an island in a far away place. A place where no man has gone before. A place that only PB can take you. Then all of a sudden theres a flash of light. I find my self in a court room on trail for something I didn't do. My lawyers name is "Denny" "Denny Crane". He's rambling about taking me on a fishing trip. The Jury sounds out "Guilty". Sure glad I woke up....
I received my copy on Monday 11/23. The magazine gets better and better!

Good observations, but this is real poser!
poser = a baffling question or problem that is puzzling or confusing.
I thought SURELY my issue would arrive today, but no such luck.
D.I.E.D. -- I'm going to get your vacated crown!
Dave Willis – Since you still haven't received the current issue I will quit complaining and accept my lot in life.
This Pirate invasion is getting way out of hand. How could they have possibly infiltrated the United States Postal Service?
DaveW, you will only be able to gloat on this issue.....i fully plan to be back in top form for the Jan/Feb issue unless mr. lusk has other plans
Dwight -- do we blame Theo or Bruce for the pirates?
D.I.E.D. -- dang it! Oh well, I wouldn't make a good champion, anyway. Once in a while, I get my copy very early. The Pony Express is erratic.
Bruce, but just for the pirates.
Got mine today Wednesday 11/15.
Bing
Lusk or Willis, or anyone for that matter....
On page 25 within the article about electrofishing, in the photo of the live well in the upper left of the page, there's one larger fish that's upside down, in the center right of the live well.
What kind of fish is that?
Sunil - Here is my opinion, from what I can see it is a walleye (WE). The white tip on the tail (caudal) is not real noticable. I can't tell if it is due to the fish or the way it was photographed.
It is a walleye, about four pounds worth.
I'm glad that Bob answered, Sunil. Haven't got my copy of the magazine yet. Monday for sure!
Dave,
If you don't have it by Monday, drop me a note. We'll send one asap. The photo Sunil is talking about is one I shot at Savannah Dhu and accompanies your story.
The way things are going, I'll be able to get my magazine, read it, translate it into Portuguese, etch it on a parchment scroll and send it to Dr. Dave before his comes in the mail.
I get mine back from the Baby-Booty Bronzers Wednesday.
Thanks guys, my guess was walleye also.
Bob, is Savannah Dhu getting walleye recruitment?
Bob -- you really do not need to worry about me. What I've noticed is that sometimes I am among the first to get my copy, while at other times I am near the last. I assume the South Dakota mail must occasionally get stuck on the bottom of the bag, so please don't worry about it! I wasn't complaining, but I have been running to the mailbox at 11 a.m. each morning.
Dave, I don't like how long it takes USPS to deliver the mag. I don't know what to do about it. We have to mail them all at the same time...oh well.
Sunil, Savannah Dhu doesn't get walleye or smallmouth recruitment. They stock advanced fingerlings. Walleye go into a long, winding lake with golden shiners and several small square hatchery ponds full of fathead minnows. Growth is closely monitored and when they hit six to eight inches, they are spread out and given more minnows. At ten inches, they are stocked into the larger lakes to grow to catchable sizes. Survival rates vary from pond to pond, but starting with three inchers, two years later survival is something less than 30%. Smallmouth are different. They are bought from a hatchery at 2-4" in length and feed trained. They are stocked into two fairly large ponds full of fathead minnows. There is at least one feeder per surface acre of water, and the small fish are fed high protein small pellets. They grow pretty fast in that part of the world. At 10-11" they are stocked into the larger ponds.
Same story with tiger musky.
Yellow perch, black crappie, largemouth bass, pumpkinseed and bluegill spawn naturally.
