If nobody objects, can we see if any and all forum members, both active and lurkers, will make a single post on this thread (just an acknowledgement that you're out there).
This would be just to see if we can get the number of posts on this thread to come close to or equal to the total number of forum members?
It seems we have about 3,078 members, and it would be interesting to see how many of us are actually viewing the board.
I remember the other day, when someone posted for the first time after saying that they've been reading the board for two years!
So.....Here!
testing 1 2 3.... test test testing 1 2 3....
Ahh, trying to create the longest thread yet on the forum, eh?
Not trying to be a party pooper here, and you do have permission to slap me, but isn't this a waste of band width? Or maybe it doesn't matter?
I know, I know. I appear mean. But I really don't mean to be.
Robinson here, ready to discuss the sex habits(those acts which are not illegal in our state waters) and reproduction rates (guppies breed like hybrid bluegill/greensunfish and rabbits) of inter-racial(red, yeller, black and white guppies) homosexual(well bi sexual anyway) guppy minners who love our Christian(only Southern Baptists are real Christians) President Bush (The greatest president we currently have) as well as John Kerry(the man who would have been our greatest current president had he been elected last time).

This is my first post and checking in. Total newbie and will need all the help I can get with a new 5 acre piece of work.
I'm in the Houston area, and hope to make my little lake a benefit to to the community.
Agent welcome to the PB forum. Glad you checked in. There are a lot of very good Pond Bosses here that are glad to help and a bunch of outstanding info archived. You might take a look at the archives as a start.
Everybody has to be somewhere.
Funny, Dudley!
I have two other properties in Houston and it's getting impossible to find a little slice of Heaven in Harris County.
I'm confident y'all can help me make my little Ranchette an exception to the rule.
ewest, I've been trying to suck it all in, and subscribed to the Pond Boss and Book. I can already see, that patience in my learning will serve me well in looking for results!
Present and accounted for.
Been lurking for a year. It's taking me that long to compile a list of my problems.
Right now enough water to call it a pond instead of a marsh would be nice!
Agent, I borrowed that one from a guy named Doug who was visiting a girlfriend when the girl's mother unexpectedly drove up. Doug grabbed his stuff and darted into a closet. The suspicious mother began checking closets and in one of them, there stood Doug. The statement I used was Doug's response when the mother asked him why he was in the closet.
Dudley,
I can already see, that I can use that on my Wife, while I'm working on the Pond!
Wunnerful, wunnerful, wunnerful.
Present, occasionally. Great forum.

This is as good of time as any for a first post.I have been lurking here for about three years, but never felt the urge to post. I own land about 45 minutes north of "The newly renovated Lusk Lodge".
Bob is helping me renovate a 50 year old, 3 acre pond. Only problem is we are probably having the worst drought in a century. I'll post some pics as soon as I can find a few extra minutes alone. I have three squids........7,5,and 2 years old.
It is really amazing how many of our projects parrallel each others.
If any of you are trying to decide whether or not to attend the PB conference,I would say to you...GO! Lusk is a Great guy, just as advertised. He is VERY interresting and a great speaker. I am sure it will be well worth all of our time and money.
Welcome to the forum Eddie

I'll throw my name in. I don't post near as much as I should but when you work for Bob, sometimes it's hard to stay on top of everything.

Well, the role call experiment has turned up 113 replies, however, the net is around a 100 due to a few second posts.
That's just over 3% of the total membership. It did seem to cause a few first greetings from long time readers, and of course some pretty funny commments.
I think there's a lot more of us out there.
