I have a question about resurfacing a frozen pond for skating. Last year I just shoveled and skated. This year I would like to achieve a smooth surface without to much aggravation. My pond is around 300' from my house, so I was thinking about hooking a couple of long hoses together and attaching them to one of those resurfacing tools that are for sale with those portable ice-rink kits, but that sounds like a pain in the arse. Another option would be to run an extention cord out from the house, drill a hole in the ice, and drop a pump down and attach that to hose & tool. I guess I'm wondering if these are my only options, or is there something else that I am not thinking of. Any help or thoughts on this matter would be great!

Just found an old post concerning the same matter. Sorry, next time I will search first!
