Here's a picture of the typical nice BG in my 3.5 acre pond, not huge by PB standards. This one is 10 inches and 1 pound...not easy to catch a picture of these guys while they are floping around.
10.0 on my Envy-Meter, ML!
That's a great fish by my standards. Judging from the head/body ratio and features such as eye and eartab size I would estimate that this fish isn't particularly old. That, of course, is a good thing. Looks like a future two-pounder!
Thanks guys.
Bruce, I agree it isn't very old...the pond is only 4 years old itself...this is why I believe I can challenge the State record of 3.25 pounds for private waters. I've caught much larger and expect there is one or two real lunkers in there that will be a future state record..
ML, I think you're on your way to a record. And you dont feed them? Do you have minnows or other fish for forage?
BM,
Remember I'm the Tilapia guy...the fish some states love to hate..not me brother.
