Just left North Dakota n this guy I know is on fire..
He’s caught 13 Zanders now.. one today at 18”..
How in the world can we get these babies introduced
Into more waters than just the 3 it’s spilled over into?
His aunts 12 lb was biggest (North American Record)n his biggest is 8 lbs..
We tried for 5 days n only perch n walleyes could be
Caught.. then today BAM.. ZANDER..
So if that lake has them-/ why can’t others.??
I can’t upload pics.. if you wanna see them
I’ll send them only thru text n if you leave your name.

Hey Brent, seen some good pics of Walleye on your page but didn't see the Zander..
I got to be honest with ya on my thoughts about this, working with many State Fisheries managers over the last 28 years I can tell ya first-hand, they have ZERO data on how these fish will interact with their cousins-Walleye, Sauger and Yellow perch.
The impact of (invasive) species has caused a lot of heartache and the proof is in the fact that the ND fisheries guys that started the Zander program did a terrible job of documenting much of anything. The impacts to existing species is completely unknown and could be devastating. I don't see this species ever being introduced on purpose again.
I would say if you or anyone you fish with is able to catch one again, it would be very cool if you shared the fish with authorities in that area to give them a chance of studying Otoliths, stomach content, etc., to try and help provide some answers. Just a thought!

Great advice. My buddy up there has some of those caught on his fb page.
Pete Fehr is his name. The fish range from 12” to 12 lbs
