Brutality Rising!!!!
That looked like a bullhead. The LMB didn't seem to care about the spines!!!
That's a small tank for that size fish!
That is way cool!
Also explains why we used to catch a lot of small BH in our old refurbished pond but since the LMB have gained some size we now rarely catch a BH.
I once had a 200 gallon aquarium and got tired of African cichlids I put two 3” long LMB in the tank to raise. When they got to be about2# each they were eating more than I could supply. They would eat out of your hand. That was kinda cool until they would grab my hand taking the hide with them. After that I let them go back to the creek
I once put a LM bass about 8" in a 58 gallon aquarium. It was the only fish in there. That was in December. By spring, I put it back into the pond at about 12" because I couldn't keep it fed without great effort. It would eat a dozen goldfish or crawdads in less than a minute.
Yeah John that was the same with mine , dump a dozen goldfish feeders and poof they would be hanging out the basses gills
Guess that shows why harvest of LMB these size is so important
