I'm looking for a simple, fairly light aluminum jon boat, something in the 14 to 16 foot range. Used is fine. Don't even need a trailer, if you can bring it to my BOW near Hallsville, Tx. (Yes, I'll pay for transport as well as the boat.)

If you have one that doesn't leak and is in reasonable shape, I'm interested. Thanks!

Please PM me if you have something or maybe have a friend with something along these lines.

There's several on the Shreveport Craig's List with trailers for $500-600. You could buy the boat, then sale the trailer.

Thanks! Think I've found what I was looking for, but if not I'm headed for Craigslist.

Don't forget to post pictures of your first ride!

Please inspect carefully....beware of leaking rivets in non welded aluminum jon boats.

Thanks, John. I will take care, been in leaky boats before and it was no fun at all!

Over on the tinboats forum, there are excellent discussions about repairing all sorts of leaks in aluminum boats. Two years ago I repaired a 2" x 3" catastrophic gash in a friend's 12' boat using info from that forum.
