I want to test my well water for drinking purposes. Found a place in Austin - they will run 20 test for $275 - does this sound reasonable?

Nope, I took mine to the public health people in Fort Worth. Check with the County people. I think mine was $20 about 10 years ago.

Checked with our local health people and they'll do the test but it's only for bacteria . I want to test for everything - lead, etc

they have several levels of test available - goes up to $150 range if you have them test for pesticides. Think I am going to use them
