I dug a well and am using it to feed my pond - I am looking for a timer that I can use - the PVC is 1 /1/4 inch - I do not mind batter operated - any ideas?

We are using this timer on several wells without any issues.

thanks Brian - guess I am unclear on how a timer like this would work - I only need one that will open and close a valve for just one of my pvc pipes - I thought they made them that are actually spliced into the pipe - similar to a water faucet timer

It is hooked up to the well pump. It turns the pump on and off.

Tim,

Google irrigation timers. There should be one available for what you have in mind.

Good Luck,

Bill

That is not what I am looking for - I will also have water running from the well to my home and some other irrigation. So I need a timer that is specific to cutting just the pipe going into my pond on and off. I don't want to cut the pump on and off but rather the line running to the pond -

Then like Bill mentioned irrigation timers, may be your best bet. I have used this one for a couple years irrigating flower beds. Not sure about how much water will flow thru it.

not trying to be difficult here but an irrigation timer is not what I am looking for either. I was told they make an in-line timer that will open and close a valve in the PVC pipe - if you look at the picture I posted it would be spliced into the pipe -

Tim,

This is the type of irrigation timer I was talking about. It has a valve that opens and closes and is plumbed inline. They make them bigger than this but maybe this will give you the idea. This one is battery operated but I have seen them available wired for AC as well. If this is not the concept you're looking to get them I don't understand what you want.
