Didn't take them long to clean that up!

BrianL- I can't open it. i logged in to photobucket and it still didn't help. what am i missing?

I have found that photobucket tries my patience. The video worked for me(thanks for sharing Brian), but it took several minutes to load all the ads and such before letting me view the video.
Posted By: farmallsc Re: video of feeding anyone???? - 03/16/17 01:09 PM
I had no problem viewing and it loaded quick for me.

PhotoBucket is terrible...they ruined it a few years ago:

But try this direct link and see if you can watch it.

That was a 3/4 pound of feed thrown in 9 seconds, gone in less than 30 seconds. I fed nine 9 second throws per day last year. Fish will be bigger this year, but I think I'm at my max feed budget.

Photobucket is terrible!! I only use it so I can post pics on this site. Might be better if I had a paid account??
Posted By: scott69 Re: video of feeding anyone???? - 03/16/17 02:54 PM
it opened fine that time.

that must be a texas hunter feeder? i have a sweeney and my friend said my sweeney throws as much in a 1 second cycle as his texas hunter does in 8 seconds.

that explains a lot, i have always wondered because people on here post about 5-10 second feedings. i couldn't imagine how they could afford to feed that much. i currently am feeding 3 times a day, 1 second each time.

I'm going to try to video my BG feeding on Optimal as soon as it warms up again. (four day cold snap-20s-50s). Week before last they were so aggressive they looked like the classical piranhas swarming in films.

Brian...PhotoBucket is not really any better with a paid account. They weren't making any money, so they completely changed the site a few years ago and ruined it. They changed the user friendly edit program (you can still find old edit program at FotoFlexer.com).

The newer version of PhotoBucket is "clunky", slow, and just generally sucks.

You can create URL's at PostImage.org with or without an account...but PostImage has basically no edit functions except sizing. So I edit somewhere else then create the picture URL at PostImage.org

Only way to know is to catch and weigh what it throws. My TH throws 1/2 pound every 6 seconds. I have a hard time thinking your feeder throws 3/4 pound per second, but guess it is possible. Weigh it and let us know. that would be interesting to see the difference.

Tums, that's just too cool. Every critter in that video is having a good time.

Tums that was simply a great video!

The little girl and the dog going in after the catfish are great.

Thanks for sharing....

this is my first try with google photos. i usually use photobucket, but my satelite internet keeps kicking off today. this video was today at 7 eastern time. a little cool, but it didn't slow them down. this is a 1 second feeding from a sweeney.

Sweet! Well done Scott. Reminds me of those old movies where the piranhas eat the bad guy!

Here are some CNBG and YP feeding together.

Posted By: DonoBBD Re: video of feeding anyone???? - 03/17/17 12:18 PM
Some yellow perch feeding. They are not really energetic as they tend to take the feed from the side of their mouth. This is about 400 in one acre pond.

Cheers Don.

Thanks , The video means a lot to me. It is the last one we have of the little one with Gramps that passed only weeks later with a heart attack. The little dog (Max) figured out how to catch the catfish easier by running the edge at feeding time and pouncing about a week later.

that's a great video tums. sorry to hear about gramps but that will be a great video to have.

Here's my babies getting an afternoon freebie.

What all kinds of fish were those, Al?
Posted By: xraytrapper Re: video of feeding anyone???? - 03/21/17 02:42 AM
awesome videos guys. I should be getting my fish in a couple weeks and hope I can start having my own feeding frenzy soon.
reminds me of when I lived on martha's vineyard and fishing for bluefish blitzing on top of the water destroying bait balls. now if you could only get those fish in a pond. they attacked lures like no other and gotta be pound for pound one of the best fighting fish.
Posted By: FireIsHot Re: video of feeding anyone???? - 03/21/17 01:15 PM
Sunil, those are some of my CNBG. There were 2 HSB strikes also.
Posted By: Sunil Re: video of feeding anyone???? - 03/21/17 01:21 PM
Dang, they are some aggressive CNBG!!!

Here's a video we shot at a client property for Purina Mills a few years ago. They wanted a video which explains the different feeds for some of their stores.

I underfeed them, and only throw 3/8" Cargill at this feeder, so the competition level is pretty high.

What's interesting about this location, is that there are 2 schools of CNBG that feed here. One feeds close to the bank, and one always feeds offshore. The offshore school have the largest CNBG, and they only seem to move in during the spawns.

I under feed mine also. With warm temps they are now hitting the feed hard.

Feeding about 1.5# per acre of AM MVP on a 3 acre pond currently, but once I am sure the water temps are not going to drop again, will bump that up to 2.5-3#.

I would feed more, but ignoring the cost involved, my main concern is water quality. Had some problems last year with bluegreen algae and that is a problem I would like to avoid or at least minimize. I figure higher levels of feed can only make it worse.

Enjoy watching all these videos, It is nice to have them all in one post. I know there are others scattered around the forum as well. Maybe could add to archive and include links to the others?

Another idea that could be interesting is an Archive post where each Member post a picture/video of their pond, list size and species etc...maybe a short summary of the history etc. I know these are scattered around as well. Be nice to go to one place to see a quick snapshot of everyone's pond. Some include this info in their signature which is another good idea.
