I know a lot of great ponds have amazing fish and that each experience isn't always about the size of the fish. But, is there thread that show each members largest catch? If not, can we post them here?
Thx Sp, but i was thinking more specific...like here is a pic of the best fish I ever caught...
I saw great fish on those threads but my grandma has caught bigger than most of those fish.
Post your best ever here...
Mine came from the big pond called the Pacific.
The captain wouldn't let it be brought on the boat.
Check out my avatar or the fishing 2013 thread
1) Am I missing something, or was your biggest fish to date invisible?
2) If what you say is true, I wanna' fish with your Grandma!!!
Here's mine. It was quite the battle.
Yellow Perch 16 1/4 2.81 lbs. (2lbs. 13 oz.)
Brown Trout ~ 12 lbs.
Brook Trout a few ounces over 6 lbs.
Bluegill biggest 1 lb. 7 1/2 oz. (Not this fsh)
Rainbow Trout 9 lbs. 9 oz.
Al, that's a monster. What's the WR of that thing?

I'm having trouble identifying the species......obviously has a lot of sunfish in it.
How about calling it Lepomis obscenomegallus, the Sunsqatch?
Ha!! "Sunsquatch"! If I use that a few times it will only be a few weeks 'til I've convinced myself that I came up with it.
Scott, the WR was probably in the zillions, but who knows? There would have to be a decimal point in there somewhere. Now, I think she's a zero. My LMB loved her, and continue to love her kin almost daily.
I've been affectionately calling these mystery fish Scooby Snacks. I do like Sunsquatch though. That's much better than what Sunil would call them. "Dreamboat Greenies".

Ha is right!! Since when do ya have ta convince yourself that you came up with something to claim it as yours?
Hope this doesn't ruffle any feathers like my B-day wish to you did.

Actually, I think Sunil uses the term "Dreamboat Greenies" to refer to a cooler full of Peroni.

You can't get your feathers ruffled if you've already been plucked.

I was plucked on my first post!
I haven't caught my biggest fish from my pond yet
I caught this one earlier in the year at one of the lakes I consult on. While the fish was just 7 lbs it was 180% WR. What a stud fish!!!
11 inch CNBG biggest one on my pond to date! On a 9 foot fly rod!! What a blast! I don't have a weight sorry.
RC
This is the biggest fish I have cuaght from my pond so far.
I got a fly rod, I will try to catch something this weekend to top it.
Sadly I Do not have a PIC of my HBG or Catfish.
Here is a LMB
I know this pales in comparison but this is my biggest BG to-date, caught last night and purty darned excited about it
It was a beautiful night last night so I sat on the dock and probably caught a dozen, with barely two looking the same as far as their color. Amazes me how they can vary so much!
Male HBG?

Male HBG?
Definitely a male but not a hybrid. Nice fish!
LL, do you notice any yellowish or orange margins on the fins, or bueish streaks on it's cheeks? If not, what leads you to think it's a HBG vs. a Northern BG?
Take a look at the sunfish primer in the archives.

Cecil, thanks!
Esshup, I was just going by it's mouth gape as it seemed larger than others, but I also hadn't caught one that big before. But after your comments of the orange margins, blue streaks, looking at the link you provided and looking closely at the other photos I took, I see none of those (GSF?) traits. I'm still learning on ID'ing fish so thanks for naming those!
I also did not expect (my) Northern BG to get that big, stocking them May of 2013.
My excitement level just increased dramatically!
