Pond Boss

Great as always! Anyone beside myself notice the rather odd looking Northern pike on page 42? It has an adipose fin. Maybe Northern pike x lake trout? wink Or maybe just an old fashioned laker. LOL!

OK, I looked at page 42. grin

Mine arrived today as well. smile

Now what?

I know I'm a little slow. I thought we just got the December-January issue. I grabbed that issue. It is the November-December issue!

Where is my January-February issue?
Posted By: ewest Re: Jan/Feb pondboss issue - 12/29/10 02:40 AM
shocked not here yet.

I liked the article on feeding trout to bass. The case in point sounds like my pond. Anyone have a couple thousand small trout they want to get rid of?

Holy crap! Do you mean that I actually got mine before you for once??? shocked shocked shocked I think that portends well for 2011 for me!

I got mine on Tuesday this week! And what an issue it is. I've skimmed it so far and look forward to reading all the articles - looks like an absolutely terrific issue!

Got mine Wednesday Dec 29. That fish labeled NP in the Cornwell article was misnamed or more likely the wrong caption was used. Hard to believe the editing missed that one since the fish and photo were large. Someone 'slipped on the ice'. The article was about the features of ice.

Yep, kids, I missed it. Already have gotten three emails about it. Pretty funny. Right image, wrong caption. That one sits on my shoulders.
Wait until you see how I handle it in Ask the Boss next issue. You'll get a chuckle.
Shucks, I'm fascinated that all you guys already have the magazine and have read all the way to page 42, especially during the holidays.
You guys are pretty dang good.

Sharp as fish spines!

magazine? What magazine? Still a no-show.
Posted By: Dave Davidson1 Re: Jan/Feb pondboss issue - 01/03/11 08:56 AM
There's a magazine?
Posted By: rmedgar Re: Jan/Feb pondboss issue - 01/03/11 01:39 PM
Is it color or B&W???
Posted By: Brettski Re: Jan/Feb pondboss issue - 01/03/11 01:52 PM
3-D
don't forget your glasses

I forgot to report that mine arrived on New Years eve. What I find amazing is how prolific Bob is at writing. His writing is incredible, and far more coherent and entertaining than even J. Fred Muggs ever was.

Well you didn't have to wait until next year. Isn't that nice?

Got mine today. A great copy. I've not gotten a thing done since I picked it up.

If you are not a subscriber I'd suggest you contact PB World Headquarters and see if you can buy a copy. If this one doesn't convince you that subscribing is a great deal then I don't think anything ever will. It really would make a great New Year's present to you, from you.

Me too Dave. I called Pond Boss this morning to check.
We decided to give it another week because of the holidays.
I also checked with a family I gave a gift subscription to
a few months ago & they have not got their Jan/Feb PondBoss issue either.
I will let you know if mine arrives in the next couple of days.

Just got mine this morning.

Beautiful cover photo, and the GSF fold out....OHHHHH MYYYYYYY.
Posted By: Zep Re: Jan/Feb pondboss issue - 01/07/11 02:59 AM
Ok...
just got home late...and the new issue was in my mailbox!
YeeeeeeeeeHawwwww!
Posted By: Dave Willis Re: Jan/Feb pondboss issue - 01/07/11 02:15 PM
Zep -- we gave a gift subscription to my father-in-law, and he got it right away, so I'm good on that front. Once in a while, the Pony Express decides it is too cold or something, and I seem to end up at the bottom of the bag. The rest of the time, I tend to get my issue with the early bunch.

Have faith, BGkiller and DJT! Mine just arrived in this morning's mail. Woo-hoo! smile

still patiently waiting.. Just gets sweeter by the day..
Posted By: jeffreythree Re: Jan/Feb pondboss issue - 01/12/11 05:29 PM
I just got mine yesterday, and I only live 20 minutes from their office frown. I don't know what is harder, waiting for the current issue after everyone gets it before me or the 2 months for the next one smile.
Posted By: Bluegillerkiller Re: Jan/Feb pondboss issue - 01/14/11 06:47 PM
Finally got mine.. Question, don't they usually one in a plastic sleeve? Mine was not in a plastic sleeve I think someone read it then sent it back out lol no wonder it took so long..
Posted By: Bing Re: Jan/Feb pondboss issue - 01/14/11 08:57 PM
Mine was in a plastic bag.
Posted By: ewest Re: Jan/Feb pondboss issue - 01/14/11 09:18 PM
Yes in plastic. They are mailed from Penn. not TX. Sometimes I am early , sometimes late. Never before Sunil and never last. One time the mailman never did deliver mine so PB HQ sent one.
Posted By: RC51 Re: Jan/Feb pondboss issue - 01/14/11 09:51 PM
That brings up an interesting point. Maybe the PBMag should be in a colored plastic cover versus clear or somethihng so it doesnt' end up getting hijacked! I wouldnt' doubt BK is right when he says someone took his and read it! Wouldn't suprise me none this day and age!
Posted By: Todd3138 Re: Jan/Feb pondboss issue - 01/14/11 11:32 PM
And of course the plastic is necessary to prevent the magazine from being ruined by drool in anticipation of reading the contents!
Posted By: Bluegillerkiller Re: Jan/Feb pondboss issue - 01/17/11 04:47 AM
Mine was definately open. I finally read it completely today.. And quess what, the little subscribe tear out was gone.. I think its kinda funny, kinda irritating.. Oh well i read the complete issue.. Great issue..
Thanks
Posted By: esshup Re: Jan/Feb pondboss issue - 01/17/11 06:50 AM
Maybe your next issue will come on time now!
Posted By: Bluegillerkiller Re: Jan/Feb pondboss issue - 01/17/11 04:16 PM
thats kinda what i was hoping lol smile
