I was just getting ready to post on here that I had not received my latest issue yet. I was not sure if they sent a renewal card or anything when you were getting close. I can't remember when I started taking it last year, but my year is getting close.

Hoping they remind subscribers so I don't miss an issue!

I got it and it is a great issue (aren't they all). It was perfect for where I am with my pond and my long string of forum questions lately!

I was shocked to see a picture of myself in this issue.

What were you doing in the photo?

Let's just say that when you get your copy, you'll know why Sunil wasn't put on the cover in front of God and everyone. smirk

Theo,

What part of Central Ohio are you in? I'm up in Marion County.

Well, if you are ever venturing up North and have a pole - shoot me a PM and stop in!

Mine arrived yesterday (Saturday).

Another fantastic issue -- including the photo of Sunil with a fish of nearly unbelievable size that was pulled from Theo's pond.

Anyone with a fishing pond who doesn't get The Magazine is doing themselves a great disfavor!

We didn't have time to weigh the fish, but I can assure you, it was at least 5 ozs.

Woo hoo! Got mine today! What a great issue for sitting down and reading cover to cover! smile

Thanks for giving up the famed fish pattie recipe Cat !

And Dr. Dave, what do you mean by, " A redear sunfish is a "deep" sunfish"? Just curious. Thanks

Ditto. Did you mean they relate to deeper water than BG? That was my assumption but not sure.

BTW - this was one of my all time favorite issues. Excellent work writers, Bob and Gayle!

Page 25. Otter Creek has been one of my favorite projects. We stock and maintain the fishery and it is about as good as it gets. 145 acre walleye/largemouth/muskie lake, 47 acre smallmouth bass lake, and 10 acre trophy feed trained largemouth/hybrid striper lake.

Got mine the other day. smile

Got mine today - if you love Blue Gill as I do, you will love this issue ...
It's a classic!

Got it today.
Posted By: jeffhasapond Re: May/June in the house - 05/15/10 02:22 PM
I got mine a couple of days ago.

My most favorite line in the magazine....."I'd be willing to do terrible things to snails in a blender...."

This issue is a sunfish bonanza!

Was finally able to find time to sit and read and I must say, this one may be my favorite issue since I began subscribing a couple years ago. Especially liked the articles on Hybrid crappie and HBG. And how nice of Bruce to document a day in the life of a BG on my birthday. laugh
