I'd hate to tangle with a Bluefin. They kick my butt as it is! 5x stronger? Wow!

Maybe Purina will put it in fish food and we will all have superfish in our ponds.

Anybody ever find out what Bruce was feeding his fish?
Posted By: jeffhasapond Re: Super Trout - 07/22/09 02:21 PM
AP, a few people have found out Bruce's secret to growing enormous BG. Unfortunately all of them have either disappeared or perished in very unusual accidents.

Maybe if we strap him to a dental chair and give him some Nitrous Oxide he'll talk. \:D

You forgot that guy who is all wild-eyed now, and mumbles all the time.

Sgt Schultz here...but it's well known a cocktail or two jogs my memory - the conference might be a good place to attempt this.

BTW - great article AP. I'm headed to MT next week to fly fish the Yellowstone and Boulder river systems...will send some pics. Heavy snowpack has fish hitting nymphs and streamers and the dry bite is off. I'm fish dries pretty much exclusively, so it will be a steep learning curve for me this year.

How is your fly fishing coming along? I've been waiting for reports...might have missed them?

TJ, I still haven't got up the nerve to try it for real. \:D
Posted By: teehjaeh57 Re: Super Trout - 07/22/09 08:24 PM
The nerve?? Jeesh - go have some fun and throw the fly around - worst thing that can happen is losing one in a tree, or yourself - both of which I do often!

Are you headed to the PBC? I forgot. If so, there will be some good fly fishing resources there - unfortunately one of them won't be George this year. I'm bummed to miss the opportunity to meet him.
Posted By: adirondack pond Re: Super Trout - 07/22/09 08:47 PM
TJ unless my situation changes I won't be able to make PBC, It sounds like it's gonna be a blast.
My fly fish gear is at the cabin, maybe this weekend i'll give the trout a good laugh.

AP, when first starting out... Go barbless! I learned the hard way! Pierced ear the wrong way.
Posted By: adirondack pond Re: Super Trout - 07/22/09 10:48 PM
Or I could cut the line, use it as an earing, then go get a tatoo.

Wow, I know personally the person who gave the quote in that article. Maybe I'll need to start looking for some not-quite-steroid-laden fish for my new ponds.
