Pond Boss
Posted By: Dave Willis Mar/Apr Pond Boss issue - 02/27/09 05:26 PM
Hey folks, my March/April issue arrived today! I did not see anyone else that beat me to the punch. I must be toward the front end of the mailings this time?

Not to be confused with Dave Davidson's Pond Boss family arrival under the "Pond Boss" tab toward the bottom. \:\)

The good doctor, loved by US Postal workers everywhere!

I won't see todays mail until after work, so the title is yours.

When did you move to Pennsylvania?

I know, Sunil -- hard to believe it came so soon. Must have been on the top of the bag, instead of the bottom. Last name W usually equals end of the line.

By the way, it's good.... Teaser for everyone. \:\)

That was a classic Bski post! No Pond Boss in So Cal yet.

On a side note last year while on our way to Lusk Lodge 2 we stopped at the Pond Boss World Head Quarters and Disco Lounge and there they were.... all the pond boss issues ever written just sitting there on shelves. My eyes glazed over. Bob let us each pick out an issue and he autographed it.

Afterwards I though how stupid was I, I should have bought a whole bunch of back issues and taken them home with me. IDIOT!

Does anyone here besides Lusk and Otto have all of the Pond Boss magazines ever written?

Yep - "Fatty McButterpants versus The Beaver"

Cody's article on SMB was VERY informative. Stuff I am glad to learn.

I only got to read part of it last night, my wife got a hold of the new issue and wouldn't let go of it for a while. \:o

Great article Cody!

Bing,
you got 'shrooms on your property? We just might have to get together with Mongo in mid-April. Mushroom hunting is about my favorite thing to do!

I expect it would be if you could do it while scuba diving and video tape it. ;\)

Nate is a man of many talents.

check out page 42, look super hard, squint, close one eye, open it back up, and check out who made it into the MAGAZINE for the first time BABY!

Look to n8ly's right, that's me. That is the best 1/32 inch tall picture of me that I have ever seen. Autographs available upon request.

I was thinking the same thing Bing!

I wonder how long JHAP will take to realize that he is also featured in the MAG?

No magazine here either.

Don't toy with me Natester, I'm slightly more temperamental this time of year. (I know, I know, more mental than tempera).

That's a great picture of JHAP. Tall, strong looking, big toothy grin, holding a huge CNBG. No, wait, that's Condello.

Dude, You are in the mag on page 42!!! You will definitely have to get a frame for this issue.
Posted By: Theo Gallus Re: Mar/Apr Pond Boss issue - 03/05/09 04:33 PM
Is that JHAP hiding behind Condello?
Posted By: TOM G Re: Mar/Apr Pond Boss issue - 03/05/09 04:52 PM
Mine got here yesterday, but I didnt get to look at it yet.Its the earliest Ive ever recieved it.
Posted By: jeffhasapond Re: Mar/Apr Pond Boss issue - 03/05/09 10:00 PM
Just got the mail from the mail box and the Pond Boss magazine was in it!

Jeez Natester I don't know how in the heck you realized that was me hiding behind Bruce in that photo, I had to get a magnifying glass to make sure it was me. Was that when we were on the catfish pond?

You guys are lucky that there isn't a photo of me in the magazine like the great photo of George on page 53.

I'm telling you right now, if I ever get a photo like that in the magazine, I'm gonna forget all of you little people.
Posted By: Sunil Re: Mar/Apr Pond Boss issue - 03/05/09 11:32 PM
Then you'll note, JHAP, that you're also on page #113.

A friend and neighbor retired last Friday. She had been the postmistress of our address-less metropolis of about 250 people for the past 22 years.

My copy finally arrived today (really great issue). This is the latest any PB has ever arrived. I've always been within hours of the first arrivals, and once I was first!

If my driveway extended about 100 miles due north, it would intersect with the post office where PB is mailed from.

I've obviously got some work to do.

The weather is supposed to be fantastic this weekend. I think I will try to catch some big bluegills, fillet them, and take them up to the post office early Monday morning.

I'm worried that the new post master/mistress just might be a pondmeister.

Would be tempting to borrow the magazine for a few days if you were!
