I am new to this site and to pond building. I have a beatiful piece of land 100 acres on the eastern shore of Maryland. There is a small pond there now about 1 acre. I train field trail labrador retrievers and this would be a traning pond for the dogs. I have concerns about the soil holding water, under ground springs that might either help or hurt the cause. Does anyone know of someone that consults in this area or where I would go for help. I have a pond design but don't want to put out all the money only to find out it will not hold water. Thanks for any advice.
