Went down to feed the fish and what do I find? It's a little early but a big Witches brew is building in my pond. It was reddish yesterday and today it's a black scum. The witches scene from Macbeth immediately came to mind :



Double, double, toil and trouble;
Fire, burn; and caldron, bubble.

Fillet of a fenny snake,
In the caldron boil and bake;
Eye of newt, and toe of frog,
Wool of bat, and tongue of dog,
Adder's fork, and blind-worm's sting,
Lizard's leg, and howlet's wing,--
For a charm of powerful trouble,
Like a hell-broth boil and bubble.

Looked today and it's all gone. I still can't believe how a pond can change from day to day. Amazing. Wonder what it was...

I can't wait to get my own strange caldron.

Wind and/or rain can magically cleanse a pond.
