Hello,
I just had a new acre and a half Pond put in last year in Indiana. Is started filling around Memorial and filled really quick and was full around Labor Day. The water level maintained all winter long and through the spring. Around the end of June I noticed it start going down. Now in September it is down around 3 feet. We have had an average rainfall summer. Looking at a lot of the ponds around me there levels look fine. I was told there is some sand around me but when we dug it we did not find any sand veins or sandy ground. Anybody have any idea that could help me? The only thing I know to do is to put a well in to try to keep it full. Thanks

Josh, welcome to PB. Evaporation? Maybe not if neighbors are full? Sometimes it takes time for a small seep to become a leak.
