Hey guys. My pond is a little under an acre with an average depth of 4 to 5 ft. How much Alum should I put in?

The original pond was about .5 acre and we expanded it to about an acre last April. The pond was extremely muddy before we started messing with it. I did the jar test with some sheetrock (I work at a store that carries it) and it cleared it up nicely after a couple of hours.

Did you try the jar test without the sheetrock first?

Yes sir. Sat all weekend and looked exactly the same. Nothing settled.

There is a thread in the Muddy water category on the main page that will have the formulas used to clear it. Or give a shout to "rainman" here on the forum.

Looks like we are going to call Rainman to come out and clean up the pond. I'll make sure to post pictures.

Can't go wrong with Rex. He has my pond looking better then it ever has.

Looking at the pictures in the other thread, his treatment did wonders for the pond.
