I've been talking to Rainman about spraying my muddy pond in maybe late September and I'm looking to see if anybody else in Texas, LA. or close to Texas is interested in having their ponds done. It'll make it cheaper on everybody involved if Rainman can do more than 1 pond due to the mileage he has to travel. The late September date is not set in stone. You can PM me or just reply to the thread and we'll see what his schedule looks like and get it lined up.
Rex-Let me know what you think and how many you want to tackle.
Thanks!
Sorry Zep, that could be misleading! My pond! It's just a big mud hole right now. I'll fix the post.
Okay, we REALLY need to incorporate a "Like" button!
That was just too funny
!
(sorry for the interruption!)
I fixed it. After I re-read it, it was kinda funny
Good Morning Cisco...what is the purpose or goal of the spraying?
Clearing the turbid water Zep.
What is causing the pond to be muddy? Is it new with no vegetations around it? Too may bottom feeders stirring up the mud? Don't you fix the cause and not the effects from the cause?
John, it does now have some vegetation around it but hasn't since I renovated it 4-5 years ago. I've tried planted grass around it by seeding and sod but can't get anything going. With all the rain we had a few months back, it has finally got some native weeds around it. I can't get anything growing in the pond due to no sunlight penetrating to the plant. When I did put in some water plants, they got covered in some sort of algae died.
Clearing the Colloidal Clay and possibly a brown algae issue....
