Hi all. First time posting on here was hoping I could get some help with my pond. I recently purchased a property in northern New Jersey which came with a quarter acre pond which is about eight feet deep on one side and it then becomes about two foot deep on the other. Last year I battled the duckweed and put grass carp in at the end of the summer with not much luck. This year I added more grass carp and a air pro rocking piston aerator 1/4 hp with two diffusers that I’m running about 12 hours every night. However this year the duckweed is again coming back strong as well as some green floating algae. The other problem that I’m facing is my neighbors septic field is above the small stream that flows into my pond which I’m sure doesn’t help. I was wondering what the best chemical would be to treat this that wouldn’t effect the grass carp and if their is anything else I can do before the pond gets out of control. Thank you and look forward to being a part of the site.

There are most likely laws about free flowing septic systems.

Clipper would work well from a cheap pump sprayer.
