Any Idea what this plant is? Most of the edge of this pond is covered with Louisiana Iris plants but the spots without Iris this plant is growing. Seems to be pretty good cover. I tried Iding with the TAMU website but didn't see a match.

I know this pic isn't close enough for an id, will pull one out and get a close up this afternoon.

I few tips on photographing water plants...

1.) Put a sprig in a clear container with clean tap water - white background.

2.) Place a sprig on a clean white background.

3.) Close-ups of the leaves coming off the stems.

4.) Close-up of any flowers.

Good lighting applies to all and watch any flashes especially with the one in a container.

Send that photo to Todd at Overton's. Or a fish supplier in Kansas.

I am thinking this is Illinois pondweed. Does anyone know the pros and cons of this?
