Found these by our town's park. I think the answer is "no way" but would you even consider planting these in a big bucket in a 1 acre pond and see what happens? I'm such a sucker for free plants!

For me, I would buy an inexpensive variety with a known habit and flower.

Free pond plants of unknown name could create nightmares and a lot of expense trying to control them for your pond management. Short term free, long term expense.
