Looks like filamentous algae to me. What say you, Kelly Duffie?

I have that cr.. also! But don't know what it is

Don't believe it is FA. If you look closely there are small leaves on the ends. Some sort of weed rather than algae. Upper left corner of picture.

Better pictures with a close up of the leaves along side a penny or something to give size reference on a white background would help with the ID.

Chris, I'm guessing either Nitella or Chara. If it is kinda crunchy and smells garlicky when you crush it, Chara. Smooth and no odor, Nitella.

On the whole, either is better than FA. Just so long as you keep them under control, enhances habitat.

I'm sure no expert, so could easily be wrong. Only reason I'm speaking up is that I recently found Chara in my BOW, and yours looks very similar.

Potamogeton pusillus aka small pondweed. There are a couple species that appear very similar.
