Does anyone have experience planting chameleon plant in or around their pond?

RAH, I have no idea what that plant is. I've never heard of it.

RAH,
Are you wanting to use this as ground cover?

I have some on the north side of the house and saw someone selling it as a marginal pond plant. I was wondering if it makes a good addition to the pond edges and whether it actually grows out into the water. It is shade tolerant, so it could fill a nice niche. I also worry about invasiveness.

I looked it up and it says it it a highly invasive weed that is hard to control

I know, but I have many of such plants. It all depends on the habitat. That is why I am trying to see if anyone has experience with it. BG can be invasive too. I had some of this near a small earthen pond years ago, and it all but died out.

That's cool and also says you can eat it as a salad... Have you tried that part of it

I do not eat plants without knowing that they have a history of safe consumption - more than a few folks not dropping over after eating a few leaves. This plant is reported to have pharmaceutical properties which should not be taken lightly.
