We just completed our 1 1/4 acre pond. Before we began filling it up i placed fish structures in my ideal places and then purchased a kasco ra-2 robust aire diffuser. I wont be able to run power down to the pond this year but i called kasco and asked them if i could place the diffusers in my desired locations, then attach the weighted lines and run them to the bank until spring. Then just hook the lines up to my unit once i have electric running to my post mount comprssor. He said that would be fine. So thats what i did. Will i encounter any moisture issues if in the spring i hook it up to my unit? My pond is now filled.

IMO you should not have a problem. Moisture in air lines is a concern during winter aeration when there might be possible ice build up blocking the flow. Cover the end of the hoses though to prevent contamination. The diffusers should have a check valve preventing pond water from entering the hose. In the spring, the compressor will blow out any moisture that may have collected.

Wow thanks for the fast reply Bill. Im glad i got to place the diffusers in the pond before it filled up. It will make my work alot easier in the spring 😃
