At what point in the year, is it suggested to stop feeding?

Is is based on temperature, month, or other?

Or, feed if they will eat it?

I feed daly in the morning aroud 7:30am, and i usually feed a 32oz cup full and every piece is gone in a few minutes. Video link below is from this morning - @ 39 degrees.

The fish will tell you when to stop feeding. I would continue until you the feeding activity drops off. You will be able to notice a significant drop in activity when the time to stop feeding arrives. Just my two cents, best of luck!

What was the water temp. ? Around 55 is when feeding decreases for BG and LMB. The fish will tell you when to slow or stop feeding by their activity. FYI early spring feeding (or warm late winter days) helps for good spawning condition.

They will feed better on warm sunny afternoons vs cold mornings this time of year.

Everybody's different. Personally, I stop feeding when I can no longer see my feet.

You don't need to see your feet. Slippers, gentlemen, slippers.

I feed my fish year round. obviously I cut the amount back in the winter. Rain or shine no matter how cold my fish still come to the feed. I have an automatic feeder, in the summer I feed 15 seconds twice a day and in the winter I feed 3 seconds twice a day. They would eat more than I feed in the winter, but I'm just trying to maintain them and give them a jump start for spring. Like some others have said I base the amounts of feed based off the feeding activity of the fish.

My feeder runs all year. My rule of thumb has been if the water gets below 50 I quit feeding. It has only done that once for about 3 days in 5 years. I cut back on feed but some are always feeding year round...Just what I do.
