Pond Boss
I am starting to feed my pond. I have BG, RES, CC, and some LMB. I have researched different feeds and read alot of posts on here and am trying to decide which is best for me. I just bought what they had at TSC to get started with, Sportsman Choice. Theres all the growers, finishers, blah blah and all for different species. So wanting to stick with only 1 feed and give everyone an all around good meal what is a good choice for a 1 acre multi species pond?
Aquamax MVP and Optimal BG food are both excellent feed for a multispecies pond. I use Optimal with good results; others report good results with MVP.

Other brands may be fine, too, but you need to watch protein content.
A lot of times it comes down to what is available in your area. All of the high protein foods are good. I have had good luck with Cargill Triton, Aquamax MVP but it is hard to get either. I wind up feeding the Sportsman’s Choice just because it is easy to get. I know it has a lower protein content but it fits my budget and schedule.
It depends on the size of the fish you are feeding. My vote goes for (small fish - up to 4"-5") Optimal Bluegill Jr. Once the fish get bigger, mix 50% Optimal Bluegill and 50% Optimal Bass food in the feeder. All their feeds are shipped right to your door.

I see better color to the fish, less algae in the pond and pretty quick growth rate when feeding Optimal.
