Without doing electroshocking, is there a general rule for stocking forage ie. bream in a pond? The bream is used for forage for the bass. Is it 10 lbs per acre? more or less?

There are general guidlines depending on the owners goals. Stocking is done by #s and sizes not by weight on BG/RES (bream). On FH and GShiners and in an offhand way TShad stocking is by weight.

Hatcheries do fill orders by weight but they know the weight by numbers.

At one time 10 pounds per acre was the norm. However, these days a lot of us are recommending 20 to 25 pounds. It seems that bass can go through the 10 pounds a lot quicker than we thought.
