The goal of the pond is simply enjoyment and longevity. I love waterfowl, particularly wood ducks, so I'm trying to attract them now.
Slightly off topic - but if you use the search function, there are several good threads on wood ducks!
One member had about 12 boxes filled with ducklings one year.
