1 acre new pond stocked 2.5 years ago w/ CNBG + FHM and 16 months ago w/ about 80 2" LMB. This summer caught several that were 12-14 inches and 1 lb after 12 months-was super happy with their growth. Today I caught two 6-7 inch bass...Could the 1st generation LMB that I stocked 7/2018 have spawned Spring 2019? and a follow up question please: When would you start harvesting some of the smaller fish? Now? Spring after another spawn (for more fry/minnows?). Any suggestions appreciated!

Would need to weigh and measure then compare that data to a relative weight chart to be sure. Then that will tell you which bass to cull.

Take a look at this link pgs 15-17 about seine surveys and population balance. http://extension.msstate.edu/sites/default/files/publications/publications/p1428_0.pdf Could the 1st generation LMB that I stocked 7/2018 have spawned Spring 2019? Yes. It could also be a late spawn of those first stocked LMB.
