I have an 1/8 acre pond with CC and tilapia. The CC are not yet harvestable size but I want to start removing tilapia so they don't continue to raise the biomass of fish in my small pond. If I make a fish trap and bait with corn or some other vegetable matter is that liable to get only tilapia. I guess I can always throw the catfish back but I don't want to handle or stress them any more than necessary. Obviously, being in Florida, the tilapia live through the winter.

My experience is smaller tilapia enter traps better than the adult tipapia. Let us know your results so others can learn.

Thanks, will do. Hopefully I will get a trap built in the next couple of days.
