Hello all,
I recently purchased a property in S.Mich that has a 1acre and I think 14-18ft deep pond with a clay bottom. The pond is over 25yrs old. What is a good way to analyze this pond. Is there available a check list of what to look at and how to approach this? I understand getting a water sample tested and tracking fish caught w/weight and length. Is there a cheat sheet to help guide me to important information needed? I'm the typical LMB BG fish for fun person. Just trying to do a little homework before I start asking stupid questions. Thanks

Lots of info here on the forum and you can go to Bob lusk live facebook videos here and watch each and every one of them. As a southern guy here, I may not be much help but along with your record keeping from fishing, you might go to Wallyworld (Walmart) and buy two 20 seins. Tie them together making a 40 sein and see what you might bring up along the shoreline. Here, June is a good time to do that.

Be sure to get signed up for the PB Mag. You wont regret it.

Welcome to the forum.

On the main forum page there is an Intro section with "Common pond Q&A". That will help you get started also.
