Hopefully the 'gill hooked him as well into the wonderful world of fishing and pond management. That is a fat, happy 10 mo. old and a handsome 3 year old. Nicely done!

Boy it sure is fun to haul in those hybrids with a light tacle rod! I thought my boy had snagged a
catfish or something the way that pole bent!

shawn, that growth rate for 10 months is AMAZING to me! is that 10 months since stocking or 10 months since the fish were hatched? that fish looks to be 8-10 inches?
happy fish, happy kids, its all good huh?

Since stocking! They were about 2in when the first batch was stocked. Later I stocked some 3-4 inchers but very few were 4 inches.
Its more fun to watch the kids catch them them catch them my self. That was the plan!

I'm with you, Dave, that is an incredible fish for 10 mo, IMO, congrats! If you read the "Pros and cons of HBG" this and others were what makes them so appealing, that's a nice fillet there, Yummmmy   FH
