How big should CC be now if they were spawned in my pond last July? I fed to satiation every day last summer and fall until mid November. It looks like there are a few 11-12 inch or so CC coming up to feed in the recent warm weather. Could these be spawn or are they stunted ones from the 5-8 inch ones I stocked in fall of '15? I caught four last fall at 16, 18, 19, and 21 inches.
I put four brooder size (2-3 lbs) albino CC in the pond in late 2015, a couple months after stocking many 5-8 inch regular CC.

IME Since you have been feeding heavily, I doubt that the 12 inch CC are your original stockers unless something really weird is going on.

Channel catfish spawned in 2016, well fed, should be 10-12" long right now. (That is contingent on survival rates and recruitment of those young fish...bigger spawns with more survival means smaller individuals.) Your original 5-8" catfish, well fed, should be those larger than 16"...depending on your original stocking rates. Your key words to me are, "fed to satiation".
