I took the Permaculture design course under zany Bill Mollison in the early 90s.
Wow, the legend himself. I took the course with Geoff who you may have encountered as he worked closely with Bill may he RIP.
My pond has benefitted from my incorporating some Permaculture techniques, especially installing swales on grade to greatly increase the drainage area feeding runoff to the pond.
This is a great forum and you'll learn much.
Swales are fantastic yet quite often misunderstood and applied in situations where they aren't always necessary. This project I'm undertaking will largely benefit from swales as it is arid and almost flat land.
