With increasing numbers of private pond and lake owners putting hybrid striped/white bass in their small ponds and lakes, is this something state and local fishing departments are looking at?
It seems to me adding HSB to small ponds and lakes could add an exciting fishery instead of just stocking them into giant reservoirs for boat anglers.

Some state agencies are. Fl has a very large HSB stocking program, even into smaller BOWs. However, without a feeding program HSB don't do nearly as well in smaller ponds, particularly those without shad.
