I went to a fish days event and picked up my gallon of fathead minnows for the first stocking in my new 3/4 acre pond. The fish were from Stoney Creek here in SW MIchigan. It was very exciting and funny to watch grown adults acting like they were standing in line to see santa claus. That was me anyway. I got my big oxygenated bag in the bucket and tore off like I was headed to the hospital.I beat the tar out of my car getting back to my pond over fields and hiils. I dumped the thousands of little fish in the pond and they instantly swam away and that was it. I was hoping for at least one dead one so I could study it. I hope future stocking is as anti climatic but I suspect the little minnows are pretty strong compared to maybe bass. Nice job Stoney Creek !

I've picked up netting for fish cages at Stoney Creek and the operation looks great. I'm glad to hear that you had good luck with them!
