I don't now the history of my pond, I bought the house and the pond came with it. I've caught a couple of bass and white purch. The pond stays dirty and the fishing isn't good. What do I need to do to produce good bass fishing and how do I stock it? My pond is about 1/2 of an acre and gradually deepens to 10 feet and has some grass.

Im brand new here, but have learned alot from the experts on this site. A few things I can repeat from them. First more info is need about your pond, your location etc. second, it sounds like you need to do some earth working. If your ponds "dirty" maybe you have excess run off? Or fish that are working up the muddy bottom. Then thier are questions about what your managment goals are. Bass, panfish, and the size and number of each. I don't have the answers but ive seen lots of questions.
