AznGunner, first welcome to pond boss. I did a quick search and came up with this link that will take you to a couple other threads...looks like drum could work. try a search for Norm Kopecky....He seems to know about drum(not the same scientific name though). Merry Christmas! PB drum thread Rex

Azngunner, Welcome to the forum. To me freshwater drum or sheepshead were the bane of my fishing career in WI. Alot of other fisherman would kill them if they caught 'em. It seems weird to me, that someone might want to stock them. But I am sure they will do fine in a pond hydrosphere.

I've caught FW drum (or "goo" as we call them) in holes in partially dried up bayous. The water was very murky and warm. It didn't seem to affect them, as they seemed very healthy and fought like the devil. I think they would fare well in even small ponds, but probably not spawn. I wouldn't mind having a few in my own pond for variety. They don't have any bad habits that I know of.
Happy New Year!
