It's not about the fish. It's about the pond. Take care of the pond and the fish will be fine. PB subscriber since before it was in color.

I attached them to my 3" trash pump and suck the muck and pump it to another pond then when I am done I let the water settle and drain back. The one with the hose on it I get in the pond with a mask and snorkel and put it down in the muck. The other one gets the 20' intake hose on it. Then I tie a rope to it then use my boat and set it then I slowly pull it across the width of the pond. Then reposition it.
