I reconfigured my 30 gallon tank sprayer.

I have had that DdamM sprayer for at least 10 years. Every time I used it I thought it was turd-like. After all those years, I went ahead and spent 40 bucks to make it the way it should have been in the first place.

What changed?

Hose size went from single wall fiber reinforced ½ inch to 5/8 inch triple wall heavy duty.
Hose length went from 15 feet to 50 feet.
Cheap leaky fittings replaced with high quality gaskets/seals.
Suction tube went from and unfiltered 3/8 inch tube to a ½” tube with dual 1 inch stainless screens.

Cheap sells, but it is rarely the right solution in my humble opinion.

I have a 25 gallon pull behind sprayer that has a boom and a wand. The first modification was adding 50' of hose to the wand. 2nd mod was adding a "T" to the line so I could prime the pump with the garden hose. The pump is located on top of the tank, and the pumps stop self-priming after a year. I got tired of buying $60-$80 dollar pumps. There IS a screen on the intake already.

I've also learned to run RV anti-freeze thru it at the end of the season before putting it away for the winter. The wands last longer that way!
