Well new to me anyway so I thought I might share with my pond boss friends.
I was doing some maintance on our pond dock/deck a few days ago. The deck is now about 6 or 7 years old and the treated lumber has the normal cracks and gaps but I also had several boards that have bowed up and pulled away from the joist. While shopping at lowes for some deck screws to repair it I found a new type that are self drilling. It was amazing how easily a 4 1/2 inch long screw went in. I highly recomend them to any one repairing or building a deck or dock.

Rocky, are those for the synthetic decking? Years ago when I built my dock and used the trex, I had to predrill pilot/countersunk holes...sounds like somebody came up with a better way.
