Has any one considered stocking these, plankton feeders so they should not cause turbity by digging around in the mud like koi do and YOY seem they would make for tasty snacks for predators.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sacramento_blackfish

For those who had no clue what the heck a Sacramento blackfish even was...

I think the biggest issue Bobby, like most fish is... How the heck do you get your hands on them?

The wiki link you provided stated, "Sacramento blackfish are of some commercial significance, and are sold live at many Asian fish markets in California", Maybe it wouldn't be so hard to get them. Obviously you'd be taking a risk stocking them and not knoing how they would affect your ecosystem.

I suspect they are sold dead on ice, not alive. San Francisco is a long way across the country for me.

Also be aware most states have a list of species you are allowed to acquire and if they are not on that list you have to get a special permit. Exotic species are severely frowned upon so getting a permit would not be likely.

If pigs could fly bacon would be harder to come by and there would be a lot of damaged trees.
