I am getting ready to build a fishing pond in north-central missouri and need to find an experienced builder. I meet with an agent from the soil and water conservation district today. His office will give a list of local contractors, but will not specifically recommend anyone. If anyone knows of a good contractor in this area, or any bad ones that I should avoid, your input would be appreciated.

Check the MDC website and they have a list of conservation contractors. Where in Mo are you at? A friend of mine is an excavator. If you are within 75 miles of him he might be interested or at least might be able to give you names of someone in your area.
