nice day for Salmon and Trout on Lake Michigan

What port did you go out of? I have done lots of fishing on lake Michigan from private boats (mine and buddies) Fished out of Milwaukee, Waukegan, Lake Forest, Chicago, Portage, and St. Joe. So the south end of the lake. Haven't done any this year, to busy with building the house. But the bite on the lake has been on fire this year as you saw first hand. As good as the salmon fishing is the perch fishing can be even better with limit catches of 13 to 15 inch fish if you do our homework.

My BIL ran a charter boat for about 5 years. I was the pilot, of course as a volunteer. Most fun I have ever had in my life!

We ran out of Grand Haven, Muskegon and Whitehall. (different slips for different years) Whitehall was by far the best.

The first year he had a 24', can't remember the brand. Then he bought a new 29' Coastal Fisherman (Sport Craft) Pretty sweet, and handled rough water with ease.

Name of the boat was "Attitude Adjustment"! He sure knew what he was doing! He had to pack up and move to NY to take care of some ailing family members. Duty calls. He had to sell everything to cover expenses on a number of things he was dealing with. Great guy, and you would definitely want him on your team.

Sure was a lot of fun!
