A long journey to get here, pond is 10yrs old. Have had water clarity problems with suspended clay for years since building. Over the years plant life, grasses, fish all have Improved but water clarity not so much. We bit the bullet this year and were destined to solve. We purchased an aeration system and started to apply Aluminum Sulfate to water surface. First application of 600lbs made little difference, we tested ph and decided after a few weeks we would need another application. Sprayed in another 600lbs and after 30 days we had clarity. A several feet and it was like magic! We also applied some pond clear which was useful bacteria and kept the aeration system running constant for last 30 days. Lastly added some pond dye to enhance the color. Fished more this weekend on the pond than the last 10yrs! https://i341.photobucket.com/albums/o370...psv2ixnovv.jpeghttps://i341.photobucket.com/albums/o370...psey0zzhci.jpeg

It's not about the fish. It's about the pond. Take care of the pond and the fish will be fine. PB subscriber since before it was in color.

Boy, if I say "sic em", you'd better look for something to bite. Sam Shelley Rancher and Farmer Muleshoe Texas 1892-1985 RIP
