I'm looking to purchase a 50# bag of Confection/Non-oil Sunflower seeds. These aren't the black oil sunflower seeds, but the black/white striped kind.
I'll start calling around to the local farm seed dealers this week, but I thought I'd ask here if anybody knew of a source or even a supplier/hybrid name to look for.
They're not going to be harvested, just planted for aestics and wildlife. A few years ago I picked up a bag from the local NWTF that was donated as old stock. Unfortunately, they couldn't tell me what dealer dropped it off. Last year I tried the black oil type and they didn't perform very well at all.

Scott Try starting on these pages: Johnny's Selected Seed I buy a lot of stuff from them. They have a catalog that is full of all kinds of things that are unique or difficult to find. They also sell bulk seed.
